Kamille Boyko

living in Lithuania

Kamille Boyko (b.1988) is a Lithuanian photographer, particularly interested in conceptual and architectural photography.
Her work revolves around themes of post-industrial life, absence, decay and utopia. The subjects in her work usually are on the margins of society, living in a limbo of the past and the present. Choosing objects like that, she seeks to create a certain sense of illusion, artificiality, that leaves the viewer wondering about the objectivity of the image. Although people are usually absent in the pictures, there is always a clear reference to the relationship between nature and humans; the mood and the angle through which one can see a moment of crumbling life.
