Carla Vermeltfoort

Carla Vermeltfoort, graduated at the visual arts department at Nelson Polytechnic in New-Zealand and graduated at the Photo Academy in Amsterdam in 2015.

My work often deals with longing. Longing for freedom, the exotic, versus being bound, where your roots are. What could have been and what is, that duality. Or maybe it’s non-duality, because one doesn’t exist without the other. You can not have freedom without boundaries. No dreams without reality.

She lives and works in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
